The Blue Mountain Project's Ambassador Program is a long-term volunteer program where highly qualified individuals take leadership within one of our core areas of programming: health, education, income-generation or access to clean water.
The BMP provides Ambassadors with comfortable accommodation and a small monthly stipend to cover their costs of living.Ambassadors are responsible for the costs of flights to and from Jamaica.
Generally our Ambassadors are midcareer professionals seeking an opportunity for extended service or are exceptional recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in international development.
The BMP is looking for Ambassador applicants that have:
A willingness to commit to living in rural Jamaica for at least one year. However, medical doctors interested in the Ambassador Program need only to be able to make a commitment for a minimum of one month.
The ideal candidate will have minimum one year demonstrated experience working in the developing world context.
Those interested in applying for the Ambassador program need to send a cover letter explaining your interest in working with the BMP, an updated CV or resume, and two professional or educational references to ed@BlueMountainProject.org or Brad Crow at Brad@BlueMountainProject.org. Please be aware this program is highly selective with the number of Ambassadors is often limited by available funding.
